This will be held on Sunday 16th September at 10 a.m. Sign up on the sheet in the club house. Cups, prizes to be won, followed by some refreshments. Annie has offered to bring some Pimms too.

Coaching for adults starts again in September

Steve Birch is recommencing his adult refreshers course each Saturday morning at 9:30 am, starting from September 8th. The cost is £5 for members and £7 for non-members, just turn up.

Team coaching for men and ladies starts on 8th September with the men and then alternates between ladies and men. The course is at 12:30 pm and costs £5 for members. No need to book.

Greg Balfour Evans is running his coaching for ladies each Friday morning from September 7th at 10:30 am. The cost is £6.50 for members and £8 for non members, just turn up for the course.

Mini tennis course restarts on Saturday 1st September

Greg Balfour Evans will be resuming his mini tennis course on Saturday 1st September at 9:30. If your child is enrolled as a novice and we have an email address then you will be sent a registration form for you to register if you haven't done so yet. Our play tennis day on Sunday 15th July has attracted 4 new adult members, 7 new juniors and 1 new novice signed up for our mini tennis sessions. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped.

The Summer Leagues results are now published online at the Tennis Jeannie website. League tables are now automatically updated as soon as the results are posted.

Go to www.tennisjeannie.com and select Berkshire Adult Tennis. Then click on Results. You can view the current league tables for the Men’s; Ladies and Mixed Team events. Jeannie also displays the match results for each team and dates for upcoming fixtures.

Play Tennis day on Sunday 15th July

We are holding another Play Tennis day on Sunday 15th July. Please encourage your friends and neighbours to come along. As a special offer we are waiving the joining fee for all those who join on the day. We start at 11 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m. If you can display a poster at your place of work, dentists surgery or wherever please do so!

Our finals day completed successfully as the weather was kind. We had some exciting tennis and lots of fun. Here's a picture of the mens doubles winners, Geoff Carson and Andy Gow.

Next restaurant to visit

We visited the Princess Cottage in Bagshot recently. On Wednesdays they offer a starter, main course, side course, rice or naan, coffee and mint for £10.95. This means anything from the menu, except that King Prawn is extra. It's a small restaurant, but the decor is good and for those who like such things it has proper tablecloths and napkins. What do you think? Any alternative suggestions?

Ladies beginners/improvers coaching starts Friday 1st June
