Can we go back to the old system when one member could only win one pair of tickets? This seems much fairer than a system whereby one person can win more than one pair, as happened this year.
We reviewed the operation of the Wimbledon draw at our management team meeting at the beginning of June. The draw raised £248 for club funds. The new ruling that each member can only make 10 entries seemed to go well.
We considered whether to limit members to winning one pair of tickets only and considered that this was an appropriate rule change to make. So next year members will be limited to the first pair of tickets they draw out of the hat.
